Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best surf t-shirts?
The ones from a real surf shop or a brand with roots in surfing. Start with our own: Jack's Surfboards designs like the Retro Lam and American Diamond, Alton's heavyweight pigment-dyed tees and Garage Skateshop's skate graphics. From the brands, look at Katin's organic cotton tees and Brixton's logo tees.
What are good surf t-shirt brands?
Our own three are Jack's Surfboards, Alton and Garage Skateshop, and you'll only find them at Jack's. We also carry Katin, Brixton, Rhythm, Roark, Salty Crew, Former and Quiksilver.
What are the shirts surfers wear called?
On land, a surf tee or surf shirt: a cotton t-shirt from a surf shop or surf brand. In the water, a rash guard, which is a stretchy, quick-drying shirt that protects against sun and board rash.
What are the best shirts to surf in?
A rash guard or a neoprene top, not a cotton tee. Cotton soaks up water and gets heavy. A rash guard dries fast and blocks the sun, and a neoprene top adds warmth.
Does Jack's make its own t-shirts?
Yes, three lines of them. Jack's Surfboards tees are designed in-house and sold only at our shops and online, with designs like the Retro Lam, American Diamond, Little Dude and HB City Logo, plus official collaborations with the Huntington Beach Fire and Police Departments. Alton and Garage Skateshop are ours too.
Do you carry surf t-shirts in 3XL?
Yes. Many of our Jack's tees run up to 3XL and 4XL. Use the size filter to see what's available in your size.
Do you have surf shirts for women?
Yes. Our women's tees section has women's cuts from Jack's, Roxy, Rip Curl and more.
Do you have surf shirts for boys?
Yes. See our boys tees for Jack's, Katin and Santa Cruz tees in boys sizes, and kids clothing for the rest.
Where can I buy surf shop t-shirts?
Right here. Jack's has been a Huntington Beach surf shop since 1957, with six Southern California shops in Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Dana Point, Hermosa Beach and Santa Monica. Order online, or buy online and pick up in store.
